Conflict is back to our life – not in my street but very much in my body and mind -  and its effects are everywhere. This series tries to visualise and understand the experience of those caught in the middle, with nowhere to hide and hope to survive. At a time when so many avoid the constant influx of news and reports unsettling news, these works reject the dehumanization of lives lost. The marks express the meaninglessness of numbers when referring to those losses.

These are mixed media works on Arches hot pressed 300 gr/m² watercolour paper, using a combination of acrylic and watercolour inks, raw pigments and colour pencils.
